We did both back to back like you did when we were in Seattle and loved both. We’re both gin drinkers so we loved the speakeasy. It sounds like they’ve changed things up a bit because when we visited there was a bouncer sitting outside so it was fairly easy to find once you had the right alley. The Inside Passage looks like such a fun place I’ll need to keep it in mind next time I’m over that way!

I know the city well but I always went with my kids and hung out with family so I haven’t done the bar scene. I knew I needed to do deeper explorations around Whidby Island and the Olympic Peninsula but learning about the Skein & Tipple has moved it to my list of quick getaways that will happen in the near future. I can’t imagine anything more perfect than a yarn shop/speakeasy combination. I think it’s brilliant!
