I used to live near Dallas for half a year in 1992 and loved it. It changed a lot since then. Good to hear they still do that same JFK walking tour. I remember how fascinating I found the tour as a kid.

It surprised me to hear how much great art and culture there is in town. That Frida Kahlo immersive experience looks very cool, and who wouldn’t like Robot Man and his two chickadee friends, right?

Dallas is just one of those places where the arrogance of Texas makes you not want to go! But we ended up loving it. Such a fun weekend, I hope you check it out!

Why is Dallas a city we love to hate? I've never been there, and have never had any desire to go other than to visit my friend. So love hearing about your experience. I'm definitely all about history and am loving all that cool street art so adding to my list.

Dallas is one of many places in Texas I want to visit but I could never live there because, like you, the state's politics are so drastically different from mine. I've only heard great things about Dallas and this further confirms that.

Downtown was a pleasant surprise, for sure. Our afternoon day drinking in Deep Ellum was a blast (and will be our next post!)
